Rolex Yacht-Master watches
The Yacht-Master watch is a sporty Rolex version. This model was first shown in 1992, named reference 11628 and featuring a yellow gold case. Two years later they expanded the Rolex Yacht-Master collection by a ladies version and a mid-size variant for men. It was the first time Rolex presented a smaller version of one of its watches. Until today, the Rolex Yacht-Master is the manufacturer’s only professional watch model available in three different sizes.
The former version already had a Twinlock crown and was waterproof up to a depth of 100 meters. It was the first waterproof Rolex watch. The watch was especially adapted to the needs of sailors. The housing has a diameter of 44 mm. In 1996 Rolex presented bicolor models of the ladies’ watch and the small men’s watch. In 1999, the Rolex Yacht-Master Rolesium model followed. This term stands for steel/ platinum. The bezel and dial are made of platinum and the housing, the bracelet and the crown are made of stainless steel.
The waiting lists were filled rapidly. In 2005, the Rolesor-edition was presented, which offers a stainless steel / gold combination. Rolex had this term registered as early as 1933. Rolex produces the high-quality alloys itself, since quality starts with the material for the global brand.
The Rolex Yacht-Master watch is a real gem and an absolute luxury watch. Because of the fine materials and exceptional design, it was especially popular among politicians, influential businessmen and celebrities.
