Blancpain supports the ADAC GT Masters winners 2011
On the final race weekend of the ADAC GT Masters series at the Hockenheim Ring in Germany, Marc A. Hayek from Switzerland made the title in the amateur standings 2011. The swiss watchmaker Blancpain, where Marc A. Hayek is the CEO, supports the Reiter Engineering team with their impressive Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 +. The starting field 2011 has a range of nearly 38 fascinating sports cars.
At the end of the series it was ultimately a three-way battle between Blancpain's Mark Hayek, Oliver Mayer (GER) in his Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3 and Swen Dolenc (DEU) in his Porsche GT 3 R. After two exciting races in glorious autumn weather Marc A. Hayek, in the end won the overall championship in the amateur league with 24 points ahead. In the team competition overall the Blancpain Reiter Engineering race team made also number one with the drivers, Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Philip Geipel both from Germany.
Blancpain and Lamborghini, the Italian sports car maker have been for some years connected because of the motor sport activities.
