Festina Milano Watch

The Spanish watchmaker Festina was founded in 1902 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Characteristic of the watches was the slogan "Festina lente" on the dial, which means something like "go slow". From this verdict, the brand name was derived.

The company became particularly well known since it entered into the cycling business in 1990. The professional team "Festina" was founded in 1994, which won the team classification at the Tour de France. A positive drug test in 1998 unfortunately overshadowed the team's success.

Since 1998 Festina has supplied the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España with professional timepieces. Festina was also the main sponsor of the football club TSV 1860 Munich in the football season 2005/2006.

Today, the brands Calypso, Lotus, Festina, Perrelet, Jaguar and Candino belong to the Festina Group.
