This watch is extraordinarily rare if not unique, with its 18k white gold case and black enamel dial with Breguet numerals. You may recall that the last white metal (stainless steel) 3939 with this black enamel Breguet dial sold for 1,400,000 euros ($1,900,000 at the time). To the best of our knowledge and professional research, this is probably the only white gold 3939 factory built and delivered with black enamel dial. While modern Patek Philippe watches are growing larger and larger, the reference 3939 is a nod to classical styling and sizing. At 34mm in diameter, Patek's master watchmakers had their work cut out for them, to build a minutes repetition and tourbillon caliber that would fit into this case size. However, they succeeded with aplomb, and the reference 3939 is a very important and rare wristwatch. Case is solid 18k white gold with a polished finish. Lugs are slightly claw (or concave) style.
