Patek Philippe started a very special series of watches in 2005, named Advanced Research, which introduced a technological breakthrough in the movement. The 2005 watch has the model number 5250, with white gold case, and introduced the Silinvar escape wheel. The 5350 is in rose gold, introduced in 2006, and introduced the Spiromax balance spring while incorporating the Silinvar escape wheel. The 5450 is from 2008 and introduced the Pulsomax escapement, while incorporating the Spiromax balance and Silinvar escape wheel. Only 300 5450s were made. The watch being offered for sale is DOUBLE PATEK FACTORY SEALED NEW and COMPLETE. Platinum case measures 39mm diameter by 11.7mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals.
