What could be more classic than a gold watch on a strap? This 1956 Calatrava reference 2533 has no more than, and no less than, what a perfect classical gold watch needs: elegant 18k case, light color dial with applied hour markers and dauphine hands, a nice strap, and manufacturer caliber movement. Case is solid gold, in two parts, with polished top surfaces and brushed sides, domed acrylic crystal, massive 18k gold screw back, and original solid gold crown. Case measures 34.6mm diameter by 11.8mm thick. Dial is champagne in color and 100% original and untouched with applied hour markers, gorgeous original golden dauphine hands, embossed minutes chapter, and with sweep seconds hand. Movement is the manufacturer’s Caliber 27 SC which is double stamped with the Geneva Seal, with 18 jewels, and adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions. Strap is new hand-sewn black Patek crocodile. Condition of this watch is all original and mint.
